For Patients

What to bring
Please bring your Medicare card, your private fund card, your GP referral any x-rays to your appointment.
I will perform a history, examination, review test results and come up with a treatment plan that is best for you.
Treatment plans may include physiotherapy, injections, and surgery.

Fee structure
New Patient Consult: $160 (Medicare Rebate: $72.75).
Patient Review: $90.00 (Medicare Rebate: $36.55).
Post-op Appointment - Joint Replacement: Free of Charge (within 6 months of surgery).
Post-op Appointment - any other surgery: Free of Charge (within 3 months of surgery).

Payment methods
Payment is accepted via EFTPOS, Cash and Cheque.
This is a private practice, there is no bulk billing.

Department of Veterans Affairs
DVA cases are welcome. The DVA is billed directly. Patient is not out of pocket at all.

Workers Compensation
Workers Compensation cases are welcome. Patient must provide a claim number or written acceptance of claim, so the insurance company can be billed directly. If a claim has not been submitted or the claim is pending, patient must make payment up front on the day of consult and claim back through the insurance company at a later date, once the claim is approved.

"No Gap" Surgeon
I do not charge a gap for surgery, and will accept the fee provided by the insurer.
Please check with the anaesthetist if he/she charges a gap as this is out of my control and may vary.

Audit/research
If you undergo surgery you will be invited to complete a questionnaire before and after surgery to help assess your progress. This information will be collected confidentially. This is not compulsory and will not alter your care. You are free to withdraw at any stage.
